Earlier I gave a bad review....which later I realized was due to miscommunication on my part....and want to make known that this company really "cares"....and their customer service is top notch. We have screens on both front and back patios....did have a tear....was not due to any problem due to Shading Texas. My husband and myself have told many of our friends about Shading Texas....whom also have purchased there product. All, including us, would not think of going any other place. Love um!

5 stars all around. We recently had Shading Texas install a motorized shade on our backyard patio and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Our biggest issue was the Texas afternoon sun beating directly into our covered patio and making it hard to enjoy the space later in the day. The new shade has made a huge difference. It blocks out the sun really well while still letting us see out into the backyard, which is exactly what we wanted. The whole process was easy from start to finish and the installation came out great. Everything looks clean, the motorized shade works perfectly, and they even set us up with a Bond Bridge Pro so we can control it from our phones. We’ve already been using the patio a lot more in the afternoons since having it installed. Really happy with the final product and would definitely recommend Shading Texas to anyone looking to add a shade to their patio.

A retractable awning is the best thing you never knew you needed and Shading Texas will get you all set up! Kim and Justin and everyone I interacted with were professional and personable and helped me pick out what worked best for my house. The awning is gorgeous both day and night!

Shading Texas is the best in the business. We recently built with Highland Homes and the motorized shades complement the build so well. I would strongly recommend them to my friends (already have) and family!

A perfect 5.0 with 135 reviews and Justin, James, Kim, and the entire Shading Texas team are absolutely exceptional. Custom patio shades, motorized screens, sun shades — beautifully crafted, perfectly installed, and completely transform your outdoor space into a comfortable year-round retreat. Even voice command automation is available which is a fantastic touch. Communication throughout the entire process is top notch — texts before every visit, quick responses to questions, and a seamless experience from quote to installation. Endorsed by custom home builders which says everything about the quality. Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM — closed weekends. For patio shading in Austin, Shading Texas is the only call you need to make. 🌞🏠✨

We are thrilled with our new screens from Shading of Texas. The patio is cleaner now with no pollen or dust. We get to watch the projector & TV outside with 99% no glare. The temp is a lot nicer too. When cold it is 10-15 degrees warmer. And when hot and the fan running it is much cooler. Worth the investment! Why pay for a permanent screen porch when you can have both! And it just looks cool! Their product is way more superior than others too. Lifetime warranty on everything. No one offers that! Throw in they came back a few weeks later to tweak a few things and correct the permanent shade to make it look even better.

We installed a retractable awning several years ago and it has made our back patio livable in Texas summers. Even after several years, it looks like new and works seamlessly. This has been a great addition to our house and we are so glad we made the investment.

I appreciate you taking the time to come out to set up the Bond home bridge. Your customer service and attention to my situation was above and beyond what most will do! It showed you truly cared about a customer’s needs. We love our screen and it protects our lodge from critters and weather! Thank you Shading Texas for a quality product and a job well done!

    Have Questions?

How much do motorized shades cost?

Every project is custom priced based on the size and number of openings, mounting requirements, shade fabric, controls, and installation details. During your complimentary consultation, we will measure your patio, review your options, and provide a detailed proposal with exact pricing.

Do motorized patio shades block your view?

No. Our exterior shade fabrics are designed to reduce heat, glare, and sun exposure while maintaining your view to the outside. We offer several fabric options with different levels of openness, allowing you to choose the right balance of visibility, shade, and privacy for your patio.

Do motorized patio shades keep mosquitoes and bugs out?

Yes. When fully lowered, our motorized patio screens create a barrier that helps keep mosquitoes, flies, and other unwanted insects out of your outdoor living space. The side-track system keeps the fabric securely in place, providing excellent insect protection without permanently enclosing your patio.

How long does it take to install a motorized patio shade project?

Most motorized patio shade installations are completed in a single day, although larger or more complex projects may take longer. Our professional installation team handles the entire process, including mounting, programming, and testing your shades to make sure everything is operating properly before we leave.
